I am Iván Cortázar, also known as H₳ppy Bison, a visual artist who has partnered with Sol Frías, aka ₳ngry Bear, to create Operation Bison. My mother, ₳ngry Bear, is a talented traditional painter who assisted in the creation of both Bison and Bear characters for our NFT series.

But ultimately, we are simply two artists that love Cardano and its community.

After spending numerous hours staring at crypto charts, listening to pointless Youtube influencers, and diving deep into the wild world that is crypto tweeter, we decided to contribute to Cardano in the only way we know: creating mediocre art.

But despite our simplistic pixel art, our NFTs utilize satire, a variety of complex motifs, and lots of personal love to recreate the history of Cardano.

We highlight Cardano’s greatest achievements and expose unfunded FUD and dishonesty, all while making fun of both bears and bison. There’s so much absurdity, greed, madness, and cockiness on both sides of the “battlefield”, enough to stuff an infinite amount of piñatas with.

This satiric NFT project will keep an authentic historical record of the culture surrounding the best blockchain to date – CARDANO.

Our mission is simple:

1. Entertain.
2. Build a fun, bonding, and positive community.
3. Create a historical artistic record of Cardano culture.  

We draw inspiration from the greatest:

• • Fascinating projects like Hosky Token and Bored Claude Parody Club.
  • The classic arcade game Operation Wolf. (Most Cardano adepts weren’t born yet when this arcade game was around, but we were there. We are 80s OGs. Well, Sad Bear is more like 60s OG)
  • Expert crypto TA analysts that will remain nameless.
  • Every Cardano fudster in the cryptoverse.

In a nutshell, we see Operation Bison as an illegitimate child between Hosky Token and CoinDesk. A child born out of wedlock that loves to play classic arcade games, parody TA graphs, and grill fudsters and moonboys.

Each On Chain Cardano NFT represents one day in Cardano’s and $ADA’s history.

WHAT’S IN THE NFTs

Each NFT in the series will include:

• One unique 1/1 on-chain 100×200 pixel art gif that will remain in the blockchain indefinitely. (Unless the FUD is real and Charles Hoskinson finally pulls the rug on Cardano)

• One stylized and upscaled high-res jpeg of the on-chain gif, stored on IPFS.

• One experimental video art piece titled “Crypto Clash.” This video features an intense argument between a Cardano believer and skeptic, with all NFTs from the series flashing in an aggressive array, stored on IPFS.

The NFTs are a combination of original artwork and modified paid stock illustrations.

CREATORS/ARTISTS BAGS

We (the creators/artists) will keep 5% of the initial NFTs (A total of 95 NFTs for the first mint phase and we will add a 5% royalty sales fee to the policy ID.

We commit to NOT sell any of these NFTs for a two-year period from mint date. 

The selection of the NFTs in our personal arsenal are a combination of rare and common NFTs to ensure a diverse variety. We will make a list of these NTFs public before the minting happens and we will always let the community know if/when any of these NFTs will be sold.

Why do we keep a selection of NFTs?

• Because we can use these NFTs as marketing material to promote the project.
• Because we love our own project and want to keep some of the NFTs to display them in the Operation Bison Museum that we will build in the metaverse. * (For further explanation read the roadmap.)
• We believe that by holding onto some of our work and committing not to sell it for at least two years, we demonstrate our commitment and love for the project. Rather than trying to maximize sales, we want to fully participate in and contribute to the project.

GIVEAWAYS

We plan to keep an additional small amount of NFTs to reward people that genuinely want to help us grow our project. We’ll disclose the amount of NFTs that we’ll give away before the minting happens. 

We will be as open as possible with our community regarding to whom and when we give out such NFTs. This will be a unilateral decision from the creators and even though we will try to be as fair as possible we acknowledge that not everyone who helps us will get rewarded. Therefore, if you love our project, share it because you genuinely love it and want it to succeed! Not because you expect an NFT in return.

Please keep in mind that our focus is solely on the artistic and collectable aspect of the project. Due to the current regulatory uncertainty, we cannot create or promise any additional utility.

However, with time, we expect the Operation Bison community will find other cases, utilities, and collaborations to propel this project into many new directions.

GROW

We’re starting small and working on building a community of passionate Operation Bison fans. We’ll be focusing on creating engaging content that showcases the unique features of our NFTs.

MINTING

WE WILL ONLY MINT AND SELL THE NFTs IF WE SEE ENOUGH INTEREST IN THE PROJECT FROM OUR COMMUNITY! 

If we couldn’t manage to get enough traction to secure a successful minting, it would certainly hurt our battle-tested artist’s hearts, but we will not try to squeeze out any ADA from our community. 

We’re proud of our work on Operation Bison and if we couldn’t mint, we’ll gladly display the NFTs and video art as our latest artistic work.

MUSEUM

We’re creating several Operation Bison museums in some of the most prominent Cardano metaverses. Our goal is to create an immersive experience for the community where they can explore the different NFTs and learn about their history.

We have secured some land on Pavia, Cornucopia’s Custom Dome, Artifct Moon and Clay Pitches as possible locations for the museums. We’ll be actively engaging the community to gather their input on the design and features of the museums.

NEW YEAR, NEW TRAITS

We’ll be releasing 365 new NFTs every year (366 on leap years) to keep up with current events. 

Some of these new NFTs will have unique traits that showcase the new exciting extra-large FUD, future historical accomplishments, and lots of Twitter drama.

We’re excited to see what the community suggests for future traits. 

TO DAO OR NOT TO DAO

Even though we’ve seen some great projects adopting DAOs we also have seen many others that just use the DAO concept as “empty hype” to scam and abuse others. 

DAO is a big word and defines a concept that is a lot for us to think about at this moment. 

That being said, our ultimate goal is to decentralize all the aspects of the project and let our community run it. How can we accomplish this decentralization? We honestly don’t know that yet, but decentralization of this project is our genuine goal. After all, this is a unique Cardano Community NFT series and it’s only fair that the community should decide what to do with Operation Bison’s future.

When that time comes, we’ll gladly step aside.
